Umana Yana is probably a landmark you will never see anywhere in the world in a down town area except for Guyana. The Umana Yana Located in Kingston, Georgetown this almost 20 meters Amerindian Cottage  was built in 1972. This upside down cone shaped Benab was constructed to act as a VIP lounge for the  Non-Aligned Foreign Ministers Conference held in Georgetown in August 1972.The Umana Yana Benab or shelter is currently one of Guyana's famous tourist attraction and many who visit it also make it's way to see the cultural heritage the Umana Yana reflects onto the city of Georgetown.
